Aoyama Cemetery is only a short walk from Roppongi, which is the nightlife district still most popular with foreigners. It’s gorgeous and peaceful and was almost completely empty when I visited. The only other people there were just passing through like I was. There are a fair number of foreigners buried there, and it feels its age.
Quiet space in Tokyo is hard to find. Quiet space with nature around is even harder. Parks are usually crowded, which is fair enough. That’s what they’re there for. I don’t miss living in the middle of nowhere, but I do sometimes miss the absence of human sound.
In other news, I got a shiny new cover for my first book. Three cheers for upgrading! The sequel will be out soon, too!
