It seems amazing to have gotten as far as fifteen chapters into recording my urban fantasy as an audiobook. I just posted the fifteenth chapter to Patreon, and the fourteenth chapter will go live for everyone as a podcast tomorrow.
I’ve learned a lot, and I think my reading is improving. Not to mention the benefits of reading your own work out loud. Bits make me flinch, but I’m not sure you can be a writer without wincing at a few things that no longer sound right to your ear. I suppose that’s the thing about art. You never really stop learning, and what you teach today could be something you learned yesterday.
