I love senbei, and I’ve never tasted anything like these. Light and airy rice cracker, with the thinnest coating of icing. Omnomnom, and I’m not even kidding about that. (Senbei are rice crackers, and the regional specialty senbei (or Osenbei, because they often have the honorific attached) are a common gift to bring back to friends, family, and coworkers after going on a trip for business or pleasure.)
Apparently these ones come from a small, and very old specialty store. I’m honored to have had the chance to try them.
